Duplicate Scorer Versions

Note on version numbering:

The final digit of all application version numbers (eg. 15.1.5) is the revision level. An increment in revision level indicates a minor bug fix. The version numbers listed on this page are major revisions and the revision level is deliberately omitted from the numbers stated.

Mitchell movement wizard now allows a user defined gap between the last NS pair number and the first EW pair number when using unique pair numbering.

Bridgemate related bugs fixed in vn. 17.4:

If a Bridgemate session was active at shut down time, the application ignored a user response of "No" to the "shall I shut down?" query and shut down anyway.
Application did not correctly recover movement information from Bridgemate system when reconnecting to existing active Bridgemate session.
Menus not correctly updated after connecting to existing active Bridgemate session.
Pro-forma blank database file erroneously deleted when tidying up Bridgemate database folder.

General bugs fixed in vn. 17.4:

Various bugs in the mechanism for specifying missing competitors and/or missing rounds.
Information typed in the results-input screen should only update the actual result when explicitly committed by the user pressing space or enter. The previous version erroneously applied changes which had not been explicitly committed.
Various bugs in the user interface for entering competitor numbers which conflict with (movement eg. board played the wrong way round).
Scores entered in the EW column were not interpreted correctly.
Club membership numbers were not always picked up correctly when selecting partnerships from known players list.

Major new feature release. New features include:

Support for teams competitions, including Swiss Teams, single matches and Round Robins. Impress the opposition. Use Bridgemate to score your next teams of four match!
Several scoring options available for teams of 8+ (cross IMPs etc.)
Options to rank teams on IMP or VP. Supports all VP scales in the current EBU White Book.
Support for multiple sessions (as well as multiple sections).
New teams movement wizard can generate American Whist, Thurner etc. movements or devise a draw based on results in previous sessions (for Swiss competitions).
Additional options in the pairs movement wizard, including a simple text import feature which accepts movements typed out using the "Movement Matrix" format described and used in The EBU Manual of Duplicate Bridge Movements.
Intelligent remapping of competitors if movement changed during play.

Dependency Information

A minor database change was introduced with Club Option Pack version 1.2.10. Before downloading and installing Club Option Pack version 1.2.10 you must ensure you are using Duplicate Scorer version 17.6.3 or later. Note that all Duplicate Scorer versions are back compatible with earlier versions of the Club Option Pack.

When synchronising with a membership archive, now synchronises regular pair information as well as member information.
